Requests for access, correction and deletion of data are accepted via support page and at the address support@fangsntails.com.
1. Scope
The policy applies to the information website FangsNTails and mobile application for Android and iOS. It does not apply to the websites of clinics, stores, map services and other third parties that the user opens via an external link.
In the document, “pet data” means information about the animal. By themselves, they are not always personal data, but they can become personal data if they are associated with an account, contacts, geolocation, photograph of the owner, or allow the identification of a person.
2. Operator and contact
The owner of FangsNTails is the data controller and determines the purposes and means of processing described in this policy.
Privacy questions and account inquiries are accepted via support page and at the address support@fangsntails.com. For deletion, there is a separate page for deleting data and account.
3. What data can be processed
Account and Authentication
- email address, display name, technical user ID;
- information about email confirmation and login method;
- when logging in to Google - profile data that the provider transmits after the user’s selection and consent.
Pet Profiles and Health
- name, species, breed, gender, age, weight, height, photograph;
- allergies, chronic conditions, temperature, dynamics of indicators;
- symptoms, observations, dates, perceived urgency and history of cases;
- vaccinations, medications, appointments, visits and reminders.
Documents and media
- photos and videos that the user selected or created within the function;
- copies of passports, medical records, insurance, license and microchip information;
- text extracted from a document at the user's request.
AI messages
- questions, answers, chosen assistant role and dialogue history;
- pet profile context attached to a specific request;
- technical information necessary to deliver the request and limit the quota.
Geolocation and device permissions
- approximate or exact geoposition when searching for nearby services;
- access to the camera, media library, microphone, speech recognition and notifications - only after system permission;
- When you start voice input, the sound can be transmitted to the system speech recognition service selected on the device and processed by it in real time; FangsNTails does not save audio recordings on its own server;
- manually selected city if geolocation is not used.
Diagnostics and stability
- Firebase Crashlytics crash and technical error reports may include the device model and specifications, operating system and app versions, crash time, technical stack trace, and a pseudonymous installation identifier;
- FangsNTails does not add pet profile content, medical notes, photos, or AI request text to its own Crashlytics reports.
Advertising and Consent
- Free users may voluntarily launch a Google Mobile Ads rewarded ad in exchange for a clearly stated in-app benefit;
- Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) requests consent or presents advertising privacy choices where required by applicable law;
- Google Mobile Ads may process advertising ID, IP address, device information, ad impressions, and ad interactions for ad delivery, frequency capping, analytics, and fraud prevention;
- viewing ads is not required to access the user's own stored data.
Website
- selected language, theme and saved in favorite places on the map;
- when searching for specialists - coordinates obtained with the user’s permission, or the entered city; exact coordinates are transmitted to the gateway in the body of the request, rounded before accessing the map service and are not written in the URL;
- when sending feedback - type of request, subject, message text, optional email for response, language and page address;
- when voting for future animal species, the server briefly processes the IP address and stores only its HMAC alias, the selected option and the time of the vote; the application does not save the original IP address, and only total percentages are shown to visitors;
- normal hosting and mail gateway technical logs may include IP address, request time, URL, browser type, and response code.
4. Why and on what basis
Animal health data may reveal the owner's sensitive circumstances. The operator must apply increased protection to it even where the law does not formally classify it as human medical data.
5. How data is used in AI functions
Before the first AI request, the application separately informs that the selected text, pet context and photos are transmitted through a secure server gateway to a third party model supplier. The request is sent only after the user's explicit consent. The video is not loaded into the AI request.
The gateway checks authorization and processes the minimum technical information necessary for request delivery, replay protection, error diagnosis, and access control. The contents of the request are used to generate the response.
Every AI response generated can be reported within the app. The complaint is stored in a secure account space for security and quality checks.
FangsNTails does not sell questions, medical records or pet information or use them for advertising profiling.
To restore the result after a connection is lost and not write off the limit again, the server temporarily stores the AI response with the request ID. Reissue is available for 24 hours, then the copy is deleted during automatic cleanup. Deleting your account information also deletes these replies.
6. Where is the data stored?
On device
Profiles, records, settings and media have a local copy. Videos and unsupported document formats remain on the device and are not included in cloud sync.
In the cloud
When signed in, text data and settings are stored in Firebase Firestore. Photos, document images, scans, and PDFs are stored in Firebase Storage within a specific user's space. Firebase Authentication handles the email address, user ID, and login information required for authentication and security. Complaints about AI responses are stored in a secure user space.
Diagnostics
Firebase Crashlytics receives technical crash reports for diagnostics, security, and stability improvements. FangsNTails does not add pet profile content, medical records, photos, or AI request text to its own Crashlytics reports.
Subscription
With a connected subscription, RevenueCat can receive a pseudonymous user ID, email for a web receipt, product identifiers, store and store country, status, purchase history and technical events, renewal and expiration date. This is necessary to verify your purchase, provide a management account, and synchronize Pro access between devices. When purchasing on the website, payment and settlement data is processed by RevenueCat Billing and the connected payment provider Stripe; when purchased in-app - Google Play or Apple. The full bank card number is not transmitted to FangsNTails and is not stored on its server.
Search on the map
The map gateway rounds the coordinates approximately to the search area and temporarily caches the resulting list of places for no more than 15 minutes. The cache does not contain an account ID and is not used to track movements.
Voting on the site
The votes are stored on the site server. The server calculates the HMAC alias IP with the secret key and does not record the original IP in the voting file. Only the total percentages for the options are publicly displayed. Standard hosting logs may contain IP according to the provider's rules.
During an AI request
Selected text, pet context and photos are transmitted through a server gateway to the model provider only to generate a response and ensure the security of the service.
Cloud providers may process data outside of the user's country using transfer mechanisms provided for in their terms and applicable law.
8. Retention periods
- account data, synchronized records and supported files - while the account is active or until deleted by the user;
- local data and video - until the user deletes the record, not will clear the data or not delete the application;
- AI dialogs - until the user clears the thread or related data;
- AI complaints - while the account is active or until they are deleted along with the account;
- purchase information - according to the rules of Google Play, Apple, RevenueCat and Stripe, necessary to confirm the subscription, manage renewal and fulfill legal obligations;
- security records and support requests - for the duration of processing and subsequent request history, usually no more than 12 months; a copy of the form in the FormSubmit archive is stored for up to 30 days; longer storage is permitted only in cases of legal obligation or investigation of abuse;
- the vote pseudonym, option, and timestamp — while the poll remains active and its result is retained;
- technical backups - before they are overwritten by the cloud provider cycle; Deleted data is not returned to the active account.

9. Rights and data management
Depending on the applicable law, the user may request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, portability, opposition and withdrawal of consent. A revocation does not render unlawful the processing carried out prior to it.
Camera, microphone, media library, location, and notification permissions are managed in the device settings. Available advertising privacy choices can be changed through the Google UMP form when it is available in the user’s region. Local and synchronized records can be cleared in the app settings. The account can be deleted through Settings → Delete account or by following the instructions on the deleting data.

10. Children
FangsNTails is intended for adult pet owners and is not directed at children under 13 years of age. Persons under the age of digital consent in their country should not create an account without the participation of a parent or legal guardian.
If the operator becomes aware that a child's data has been collected without the required consent, it will delete it. Children's data is not used for advertising or profiling.
11. Security
The delineation of cloud records by user ID, token verification at the server gateway, secure connections, re-authentication before deleting an account, and minimization of the transmitted context are used. No system guarantees absolute security, so the user must also protect the device, mail, and login methods.
12. Policy changes
If there is a significant change in data categories, purposes, recipients or user rights, the updated document is published before the changes take effect. The date of the last update is placed at the beginning of the document. If consent is required, continued use does not in itself replace an explicit choice.
Official landmarks
The document has been prepared taking into account the requirements EU General Data Protection Regulation, Google Play policies for health apps and App Store review rules. The policy describes the actual functionality of the product and does not constitute individual legal advice.
13. Optional TikTok advertising measurement
Added 28 August 2026. From Android release 79, the TikTok App Events SDK runs only after separate, optional consent. It shares the installation event, advertising identifier, IP address (which may indicate approximate location), device/app information and installation referral information with TikTok to measure advertising effectiveness. Pet records, photos, AI requests, account contact details and purchases are not sent to TikTok. Automatic purchase, screen-interaction and retention reporting are disabled. Refusal does not limit the app or Pro. Withdraw consent in Settings → TikTok advertising measurement; this stops future collection and clears the local SDK event queue. Withdrawal does not undo earlier lawful processing. Consent is device-local and is not restored from cloud backups. For privacy or deletion requests, contact support@fangsntails.com.
